Here's what you'll learn in this easy to follow online reduction printing class:

  • My step-by-step process will take you from initial idea to final edition of prints.
  • Tips on choosing and printing colors in your final design.
  • I'll teach you how to master print registration so you can make multi-color prints.
  • You can print your linocut at home - no printing press needed.

This is a new course...the follow up class to How to Linocut.

The course covers this intermediate relief printing technique using linoleum - it's one of my favorite printmaking methods! It's perfect for those familiar with the basics of making a linocut. Prior block printing experience is recommended.

All the information you'll need to make a reduction print is in these class videos, which will save you time from sorting through Google search results, Instagram posts and YouTube videos. Plus, take advantage of the fact that I'm available via email to answer any questions you might have, one-on-one.

The class is full of carving and printing information but I've kept it concise to keep it straightforward. It's a completely self-paced course and you can start anytime.

Included bonus...

  • An extra video lecture - I use one of my most popular reduction linocuts as a case study and introduce a new method of adding an extra element to your prints.

By the end of this course, through practice, you'll be on your way to making your own reduction prints.

Let's get started!

I'm Rich, a printmaker, linocut artist, and travel junkie, from the San Francisco Bay Area. The process of carving a block and then experimenting while printing got me hooked on printmaking almost ten years ago. I love the anticipation of peeling the paper off an inked block – revealing the good, the bad and the ugly. I put out my artwork under the studio name, Boarding All Rows. I'm a member of the California Society of Printmakers and my work has been used internationally as book cover art, on the set of a major TV production and can be found in private residences around North America, Europe and Australia.
